5k, 5 & 10 MILE COURSEs

Start/finish is next to the pavilion in the day-use area. The course descends the woods at the Basswood Trail and continues on the Spur trail down to the prairie along the Bison Trail. The course then climbs above the prairie on a former farm road and continues on wide forested trails to cross County Hightway NN and pass the water station. 5k runners turn around here to and head back toward the finish. The 5- and 10-milers continue south on a long loop that brings them back through the water station on their way to start/finish. 5-milers will complete one loop while the 10-milers continue through the start/finish for a second lap. 5 and 10 mile runners pass the water station twice on each lap of the course. The 5 and 10 mile races are open to runners 14 and up.
